| The Tangent’s approach to commercial and
retail interior design is essentially practical. So whether a project
involves a restaurant, retail concept or leisure environment, our
starting point is always the same: the food, the product or the
function of the space must lead design thinking.
The first step is to establish a detailed brief, clearly outlining
client requirements and expectations. Our experience of catering
and retail design enables us to incorporate any equipment, point
of sale facilities, signing and display systems into a functional,
practical layout, without compromising our creativity and dramatic
flair.
At an early stage we link up with the graphics and point of sale
design side of our group to ensure continuity of approach and visual
language. Strong spatial planning skills enable us to balance the
requirement for fluid traffic flow with the need to create inviting,
sympathetic environments. Small and intimate, grand and imposing,
funky and chic (or any variation in-between) are all within our
remit.
We have all the right contacts to ensure that once the concept
and planning stages are complete, the necessary services, suppliers
and contractors can be brought on board to deliver the required
result.
